This “I Have...Who Has” game is a fun way to practice tricky geometry vocabulary. Your students will love the playful monkey detail on each card!
Concepts/vocabulary included in this game: square, trapezoid, rhombus, rectangle, parallelogram, pentagon, hexagon, decagon, octagon, nonagon, heptagon, acute angle, straight angle, obtuse angle, acute equilateral triangle, acute isosceles triangle, acute scalene triangle, right triangle, obtuse scalene triangle, and circle.
Directions: Print the cards and cut them out. Printing on card stock or laminating will ensure you can use them again and again! Shuffle the cards and distribute one card to each student (or pair of students). The game begins with the card that says “START HERE.” The student with that card will read off the first question. Whoever has a card that answers the question will respond, “I have... ____” and then ask “Who has...____.” The game continues with students reading and responding until the class gets to the last card that says “END HERE.” You can also have students display their card under a document camera while they orally read it aloud so other students can read each question.
20 cards are included in this set, along with four blank cards so that you can add on or customize the game for your own class. Pair students up with cards if they aren’t comfortable with these concepts yet, or challenge students by giving them more than one card. If you are working with a smaller group, you can give students more than one card or play with half the set.
