Product Description
This Hebrew kriyah activity has two nikkudot/vowels in two separate card decks. This activity can be played as a whole class or small group activity. One student reads aloud at a time when it is their turn. Using each deck separately, there is not an option for more students to answer at the same time. However, if teaching with the modern/Sephardic pronunciation and both sets of kamatz and patch cards are used, then all those with the same sound can answer at the same time - such as students with kaf and kuf, tet and tav, etc...

When you see the cards, it will seem like some letters are missing. They will reappear in the other vowel set. This is because I had to alternate some of the letters that sound alike when put with vowels- like vav and vet. Since those two letters cannot be in the same game set, the KAMATZ activity includes some letters, like samach but not sin, and the PATACH activity includes the other letters, like sin, not samach. (I did, however have to omit the last letter of the alef bet - sav/tav without the dagesh - so that only one student would be able to answer.)

I included the final letters in the activity so that students will remember and practice those letters, even though final letters don’t get vowels (except the chaf sofit).

This product can be used by foreign language teachers, Hebrew Day School teachers, Hebrew School teachers, ‎preK teachers, and those who home school.
