Let me just say, my students LOVE this game! We play it during reading groups, on Fun Friday, we have lots of math versions we enjoy—its great! I also love this game because it is SO versatile. My kids know the rules and how to play, so I can change out the skill and review just about anything. What a great way to build fluency with phonics skills.
To prep, I print each set and laminate them. Then I just put them each in their own bags and we’re good to go! Each set in the unit has a different image on it, so you’ll be able to tell them apart. If you want multiple copies of the same set, I recommend printing each set on different colored paper or putting numbers on each set of cards .
For easy differentiation, I have created the following sets:
2 Sets for i_e
1 for ight
1 for -y
2 Sets with mixed long i sounds
1 blank set you can set up as you need.
I hope your students enjoy this game as much as mine do!
