Playing games in class can help build positive feelings towards math. With positive feelings comes great focus and learning. This game is easy set-up for teachers, just print on card stock ( laminate if you like) cut the cards out and BOOM your part is done. This game comes with 30 cards! It can be used along with Engage NY Module 1 lesson 2 or with your own math program. It works with the skills of recognizing a digit represents 10 times the value of what it represents in the place to its right, and Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison.

Recognize that in a multi-digit whole number, a digit in one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right. For example, recognize that 700 ÷ 70 = 10 by applying concepts of place value and division.

CCSS.MATH.CONTENT.4.OA.A.1
Interpret a multiplication equation as a comparison, e.g., interpret 35 = 5 × 7 as a statement that 35 is 5 times as many as 7 and 7 times as many as 5. Represent verbal statements of multiplicative comparisons as multiplication equations.
