Add this engaging subtilizing game to your math meeting, morning meeting, small group, intervention, or tutoring time. With a Halloween and October theme, students will have fun while developing number sense while subitizing the images in ten frames.
Included are two game sets, each with 20 cards. A fun Halloween theme is used with this ten frame subitizing "I Have Who Has" game. Great for morning meeting game or small group!
I think it is so fun to hear students explain how they “see” numbers within subitizing cards. This covers numbers 1-10 using one ten frame.
I will use these cards as part of a routine math warm-up excerise to help develop number sense. I highly recommend checking out the book, Number Sense Routines, by Jessica Shumway for research-based ideas to incorporate into your daily math warm up routine.
Included are 2 game sets. Each game has 20 cards. You will want to explain to students how to read the cards. E.g. “I have three pumpkins, who has 5 bats?”
