My first graders are learning their subtraction facts. This cute “kids talk” game will help build their fluency with -1, -0 facts.
Print out and laminate so the cards will last year after year.
How to Play:
Mix up and pass out all cards to the children. The student who has the START card will read aloud their number sentence. The student who has the answer to the problem will read aloud their answer and number sentence question. The game continues until you reach the END card.
I have included 2 games in this document. The first game has 19 cards, which includes subtraction facts within 20.
The second game has 24 cards, which include subtraction facts up to 25.
My students really enjoy these types of games as a warm up to our lesson.
