Playing "I Have, Who Has..." is a great way to focus on vocabulary development. This game requires students to know the difference between synonyms and antonyms, as well as meanings of vocabulary words. Your students will have a better grasp of the English language and be able to use more descriptive and purposeful words in their writing with the words they will master with this game!
Cards are in order going from left to right. Cut them out, mix, and distribute to your students. There is a total of 36 cards. All cards need to be used for the game to end full circle around to the beginning card. Some students may need to have more than one card.
Words used are appropriate for upper elementary and middle school. Some vocabulary instruction may need to be used if words are unfamiliar. You may also choose to use this game as a independent learning activity, having students match the cards up. This would allow them to look up words that are unfamiliar.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Hope you enjoy!
