Product Description
This document contains two versions! The easier version is one I would use with second and third graders just being introduced to the concept of contrasting synonyms and antonyms. The challenge version is the one I use with students older than 3rd grade and/or students who need to be challenged.

Each set includes 33 cards focusing on synonyms and antonyms. This is a great activity if you are looking for an opportunity to engage your entire class! I also frequently use these cards with smaller intervention groups- I just give more cards to each student. It is a very engaging game!

The cards are written so that students have to truly listen carefully to determine when their card is being identified.

For example, one card asks, "Who has a synonym for rich?" The correct answer is "I have 'wealthy'."

Another card asks, "Who has an antonym for rich?" The correct answer is "I have 'poor'."

(In the advanced version, the answers are "affluent", and "penniless".)

These cards always take a few extra minutes to get through the first time. I always time my students, and then let them go through them a second and possibly third time to try to beat their record!

An answer key is included for teacher use to follow along. A direction page is also provided.
