This activity is a classroom favorite.
Distribute cards to students. The child with the start card reads their card aloud. The student with the match reads their card next. All students read their card as they hear their word read. Play until
the STOP card is read and the last player crows COCK-A-DOODLE-DOO!

This is a great activity to use as either a warm-up or wrap-up for your phonics lesson.
