The classic game, adapted to help your students review naming solid shapes. This can be played as a whole glass game with individual players or in pairs, or as a small group activity.
Print out the pages on card stock and cut apart the cards to make a deck.
Hand the cards out to students, one at a time, until you have handed out the whole deck. (Make sure you keep the yellow/first card.) As you hand out the cards encourage students to begin thinking about what the question for their card might be so that they are prepared to answer.
When all the cards have been handed out, show students that you have the starter card and read it aloud to begin. "I have a green circle. Who has a blue triangle?" The child who has the blue triangle calls out “I have a blue triangle!" and then reads the bottom, “Who has…?” and so on. Play continues until the game loops back to the original, yellow card.
When the class is comfortable with this game format, you may want to see how fast the class can complete the game! This game encourages quick recall and encourages fluency with naming the shapes, attention to the task at hand and other executive functions.
