This motivating, whole-class card game is a fun way to practice shapes and colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, brown and black.....circle, square, triangle, rectangle). Each student holds a card. Any student may start the game by reading his/her card.
"I have a purple square. Who has a yellow rectangle?" The student holding the card with the yellow rectangle says, "I have a yellow rectangle. Who has red circle?" and so on!
The game can start with any card, since the last card in the deck links back to the first. No matter who starts, the game keeps going!
Bright shapes help students remember what to say. The "eye" reminds students to say, "I have." The "owl" reminds students to say, "Who has?" CUTE!!!!! Kids LOVE this game!!!!!! This set can be used from Pre-K to 2nd grade!
This game can be EASILY DIFFERENTIATED by allowing two students to partner up with one card, or a single student may be given multiple cards. The game can be played over and over by shuffling the deck and redistributing.
"I have...who has" is a terrific way to provide meaningful practice during transition times throughout the day. Students can be responsible for distributing and collecting cards. THE GAME RUNS ITSELF, once students learn how to play!
TO CREATE CARDS: Simply cut each page in half horizontally. You may laminate or affix to tagboard for durability.
