PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

This activity helps students to compare and contrast the poems "I Hear America Singing" by Walt Whitman and "I Too, Sing America" by Langston Hughes. Students will read and reflect on the poems and then create their own "call and response" poems with each other in groups. This assesses reading comprehension and also helps students practice their own poetry writing.
