When students read a book they enjoy, they complete a book recommendation form. It’s a simple form that is designed to take just a few minutes to complete. Students list basic information about the book, such as its title, author, and genre. Then, they write a short paragraph providing detailed reasons for why someone else would enjoy reading this book. Students sign their own names and put today’s date at the bottom before posting on our board.
Once completed forms are posted to the board, other students can visit it to view recommendations. Different colored forms help students find books in their preferred genre and listing the specific genre helps students find the title in the classroom or school library. Notes on how students interact with the board are included with the product.
