These simple worksheets allow students to show their understanding of 2D shapes - circles, squares, rectangles, triangles, pentagons, hexagons, octagons, trapezoids, ovals and diamonds. Students color the picture each time they find the matching shape. They record the number of each shape they find. Use this resource before you begin teaching to assess prior knowledge, as a math center or 'Fast Finisher' task, or to determine understanding after teaching as an 'Exit Ticket' style assessment.
The worksheets are large enough to be printed 2 to a page if you'd like to save paper. The page featuring the diamond shape is duplicated to use the alternative name - rhombus.
