Bundle Description

In this "reverse-style" resource, students will search for the questions which correspond to the answers already provided on their response page. The focus of this resource is on recognizing and identifying upper– and lower-case letters. Included for each month are two sets of nine cards to which young learners will refer to either match (upper-case to upper-case or lower-case to lower-case) or convert the letters on their recording pages (upper-case to lower-case or lower-case to upper-case). St. Patrick's Day, spring, and insect/bug themes are used.

Laminate, cut out and post the card set at various locations around the room. You will also need to place six crayons (red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple) near each location for student use. Or, as an alternative, the children may simply carry the colors they will need with them. The crayons will need to be in some sort of container, however, as the crayons plus a clipboard is too many for little hands to carry.

The student will search the room for the letters which match those on their recording pages. When located, s/he will color the object on her/his page the same as on the card. Back at his/her seat. s/he will then draw a picture to go with the word on the page.

Letters from the following words are included:

March: shamrock, money pot, wee folk & good luck

April: fresh air, umbrella, recycle & sunny day

May: ladybug, arachnid, cricket & flowers
