This "I Spy" activity is a great way for students to practice reading and writing sight words and have fun all at the same time! The words are hidden in a summer beach scene. Two versions are included: color and black and white. (I print 6 copies in color, slide them into page protectors, and place them in my reading centers.)
Students will search the document for sight words using a magnifying glass. When a word is found, it should be written on the recording sheet. Challenge your students to find all 28 words!
(The sight words included are the 1st Grade Unit 5 high frequency words from the Scott Foresman Reading Street curriculum.)
Words included are:
along, behind, toward, eyes, never, pulling, loved, wood, should, door, among, instead, another, none, goes, today, kinds, heavy, against, early, learn, science, built, through, carry, answered, poor, different.
