How the 'I Spy' Speech Sound Hunt Works
You will send home the picture sound cards for the sound your student is working on with the parent activity guide and 'I Spy' checklist game sheet.
Instruct the parents to print out the picture cards and hide them around the house. The child takes the checklist game sheet and goes in search of their speech sounds. The child checks off the picture when they find the sound. Each time the child finds a picture, they can practice their speech sound.
How this resource will help your students
Our students need to get at least ⭐50 trials in a session to really make progress. Most SLPs are only seeing students 1-2 times a week. To help your students make ⭐bigger gains with their speech skills, you can use the color version in your therapy room and then send home the black and white copies to coach parents with a home program.
Parents welcome ideas and resources that will keep their children motivated to practice their speech sounds.
And, you will ✨STOP feeling stressed about lesson planning.✨ Plus, you will have confidence handing that home program over to your parents knowing that your students will be having fun while they "work."
