PDF File - 15 World Music Worksheets

This is a lesson plan that your students will fall in love with! You students are taken on a journey with their tour guide Ella the Elephant Genie, who is spotted by your students and needs help finding the lost Instruments of India. Students have to find the hidden treasure chest in an each scenic photo similar to the game of I Spy.

The Instruments of India covered in this lesson plan are Tabla, Pakhavaj, Sitar, Dholak, Sarod, Tanpura, and Pakhawaj. Engagement should be sky high because it's really fun for the kids search and find them!

This is a GREAT lesson plan for students to see visually what the instruments are as they are forced to actively look for them in a game of I Spy, and figure out what they will be! Multiple visual aids, and analogies are demonstrated in this Slide Show to guarantee a complete and full understanding of what the instruments of India are. But more importantly this will also guarantee your students will be able to identify the instruments of India when engaging in their listening activities.
