This is a 21 page book study on the text I Survived the Sinking of the Titanic, 1912. I included a variety of comprehension questions, which include, but are not limited to: determining the meaning of vocabulary words in context, predicting, making connections, story elements, sequencing, and character traits.
This unit has a variety of questions and activities in order to make differentiation easier. Each student is given a comprehension packet. We read the story out loud in small groups and the students worked on the questions as we read or independently. The student novel study packets were all differentiated, according to text level.
