A bit of history.
The postcard is an early photo-paper postcard printed in England. Rather battered but very much a classic study of a 12 week old kitten.
Cats are wonderful mothers - I think this would make a cute Mothers Day card.
The back has nice example of a British half-penny stamp - nothing fancy- franked, and clearly dated.
I rather like old postcards. Indeed I have been known to use them as a reason to learn cursive. I mean you get to read other peoples mail!!!
A nice addition to any lesson about world history prior to WW I or for use in a literacy centre. Or for Mother day. Or indeed, Woman's history.
I am listing other postcards as well as some free ones from World War II. Please check them out.
This is a very high resolution scan (600 dpi) of both back and front.
The file you will get is very much larger than the thumbnail photos.
Yes there is a story here. the grand tour? Life before the Great War?
Feed back would be really nice!!!!
