My students and I love to read in the fall. Once students and I read this fun book, we do a craftivity.
I tend to do a four day mini unit including main idea, text to self, and opinion, with the fourth day being our craft! I have included writing prompts for each day, including a few blank pages as well as some half sheets.
Students get to make their own acorn from the book for their craft! There are a few options for this craft. One option is to have a simple coloring sheet, with our without a face on their acorn. In the other option, students have fun cutting out and putting their acorn together! They make for a great bulletin board!
