Who says you can’t build skyscrapers while dressed in a tutu?
Who says you can’t play dolls by day and score goals at soccer by night?
When I set out to write ‘I Will Be Me’, my latest children's story, I wanted the book to accomplish two main things:
* to encourage self-expression in every child that reads it,
* to inspire kids to do anything regardless of gender.
Each colourful spread and rhyming couplet offers an opportunity for discussion, imagination and joy as this gender neutral character rides a bike, reads, builds a skyscraper and dances to the beat of their own drum.
