A fun way to develop early speech and language skills including understanding and using feeling words, use of "I" when referring to oneself, use of a simple sentence "I am.....", sight word reading for "I" and "am", learning to read from left to right, and turning pages in a book.
Speech-language pathologist, Jill Hicks, developed this book and card set and uses it often in her private practice. Children relate to the simple line drawings and have fun making the corresponding facial expressions. This is a great way to encourage speech and language development for children who have emerging expressive language.
This set includes a downloadable 12 page book. It is recommended to print the book on 65 pound card stock. The finished book size is 5.5 inches by 5.5 inches.
