This free packet is a great way to work on making good choices in a special education classroom. I use this both ways with my students. Some students gain 3 thumbs as they do their work/make good choices. There are some students that it works better to take a thumb if they are not listening or following directions. It all depends on the student and how they respond to it!
Directions: Print out this board and paste it on the outside of a file folder. Print the reward choices and thumbs on cardstock and laminate both these and the file folder. After everything is laminated, put soft velcro on the backs of the reward choices and hard velcro in the "working for" and 3 "thumbs up" boxes. Put strips of hard velcro inside the file folder to hold all of the reward choices. You could also make additional reward choices with clip art or real pictures.
