This activity helps students make the connection between a number (within 20) and a set. The student is expected to recognize the target number, and make a set that corresponds to that number in 10 frame/s. Students also practice counting while placing one counter in each box… (1:1 correspondence).
The large print, defined space for each number and the absence of distracting graphics are all purposeful adaptations for learners with special needs.
This activity can be used as an instructional tool, as a review, or as an independent center.
