Product Description
This is a 4 week unit that integrates social studies, language arts, math, and science! Students begin the unit by exploring how much of the world is made up of water and how much of it is made of land. They learn the importance of maps and how maps help us. Next, students jump into examining how leaky faucets can waste water. Students design an experiment to see how bigger leaks affect the amount of water lost. Continuing with the notion of collecting data, students work with their parents to explore how much energy is wasted over a week. The unit concludes with students learning about recycling paper and reusing items. Highlight of this lesson is the process of making recycled paper!
