These brag tags focus on using guided reading or independent reading strategies. Print on cardstock and laminate for durability and reuse, if necessary. There are many ways to implement Brag Tags in the classroom-necklaces, key chains, pocket charts, the list is endless! Do what works for you and your classroom environment. This year, I plan on using ID plastic badge necklaces for the students and having them store the tags inside the plastic pieces. After they earn 15, they can bring the cards home but the necklace will stay in school so they can earn more!
Tags include-I can handle the book, I can read with a partner, I can use Pointer the Puppy, I can use Lips the Fish, I can use Eagle Eye, I can use Stretchy Snake, I can use Skippy Frog, I can use Tryin Lion, I can use Flippy Dolphin, I can use Chunky Monkey, I can work hard during centers, I can work hard during Daily 5, I can read my sight words, I can read my letters, I know my sounds, I can read for ____ minutes (this is the only tag that needs to be printed, then written on before you laminate for durability)
