PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Boost phonological awareness skills with this fun freebie. Included are 30 I have, who has cards that create a total of 15 compound words.

Directions: Pass out the I have, who has cards to each student in the class. If there are extra cards, class helpers can participate or take a few cards off the end of the game (candy cane, lipstick) . I have all students begin by sitting at their tables/desks. The person with the first card stands up and says "I have butter, who has fly". The student with the first card begins, what will become a very long line. As students cards are called, they will stand up and join their peers in line (staying in sequence). When the final card is called, the teacher will have the first two students say their words out load and blend the words together to form the compound word. Additional cards containing the compound word are include as a visual and can be shown at that time.
