This is an easy-to-play game that is a great way to practice finding volume of rectangular prisms . As students match up the answers on their cards with questions on other students’ cards, they get valuable practice.
1.. One student deals out the cards to all players.
2. Players arrange the cards face-up in front of them. .
3. Play begins with the starter card ( any card).
4. Play continues as in the class game. The starter card is placed in the middle of the group. Each person in the group works the problem out. Once they have an answer, they check whether they have that answer written at the top of their card Whoever has the card that answers the question reads that answer and then reads the question on that card. The card is placed in the middle and the process repeats. The first person to run out of all of his/her cards, wins the game. [Note: this is completely random but don't tell the students!]
5. Shuffle the cards and repeat the game.
