I have . . . Who has . . . ? - Triple Digit Place Value

Aligned with Second Grade CCSS 2.NBT.1

This packet includes two separate games. The game with the green and white background will require students to identify the number of hundreds, tens, and ones in a number to answer the question, “Who has …? “ The game with the pink and white background will require students to determine the number of hundreds, tens, and ones in a double digit number to ask the question, Who has . . . ?”

Prior to playing the game, print all pages to the game on white cardstock. Cut the cards apart and laminate for durability.

To play the game, pass out a card to each student. There are 35 cards in this activity. If you have more students, groups of two students may have to share a card. If you have less students, students may have more than one card.

The student with the word “start” on their card will read their card aloud. The student who has the answer to the first card reads their card next. Students continue in this manner until the last student reads, “Game Over!”

There is an answer key that shows the order of the numbers on the cards for a monitor to follow the game or for students to check their answers if the activity is used as part of a math center.
