This product includes 50 element cards. Elements 1-38 (with exceptions of Gallium, Germanium). In addition, Silver, Tin, Antimony, Iodine, Xenon, Cesium, Barium, Gold, Mercury, Lead, Bismuth, Radon, Francium, Radium, and Uranium are included.
The game is best played when as a whole class, with each player having a few cards. If you would like a smaller group to play, each player would have more cards. All cards should be in play at all times. Any person can start out the game by calling which element they have. They then ask “Who has…” as prompted on the card. This will create a flow throughout the students. The game ends once the original card is asked about.
This game is great for any students trying to learn the elements on the periodic table, whether it is a middle school science class, a physical science class, or even a introductory unit within a chemistry class.
A great follow-up to this activity is the “Element Test” that you can also find within my store on Teachers Pay Teachers. The same 50 elements are found on the test that are within this game.
