**The preview file is a pdf printout of all slides for you to review before purchasing the real thing
This powerpoint presentation covers Topic 7.2 in the IB Biology curriculum. Specifically, it covers more in depth the structure of DNA strands (see learning objectives below).
Each slide is labelled with the specific learning objective and animation/video links are provided in the slide notes. The slides are formatted to print well for handouts or revision and I can provide a pdf version upon request.
As always, please let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements. These are always a work in progress!
**IB Biology Learning Objectives:
7.1.1 – Describe the structure of DNA, including the antiparallel strands, 3’-5’ linkages and hydrogen bonding between purines and pyrimidines.
7.1.2 – Outline the structure of nucleosomes.
7.1.3 – State that nucleosomes help to supercoil chromosomes and help to regulate transcription.
7.1.4 – Distinguish between unique or single-copy genes and
highly repetitive sequences in nuclear DNA.
7.1.5 – State that eukaryotic genes can contain exons and introns.
