Do you need a way to explain the IB-PYP Concepts to your students? Using the analogy of sunglasses, I have created these signs to help you guide your students to examine big ideas through “conceptual lenses” (pun intended!)
For my young learners, I literally use sunglasses as a prop to explain that we can “look at” (think about) a topic or issue in a specific way by posing certain questions. Just like the way tinted lenses in a pair of sunglasses can change how we see things, certain questions can frame our thinking and lead us to draw conclusions we may not have otherwise made.
I like to post these signs in my room as a visual reminder to us all as we explore unit topics.
You may also change your print settings to create smaller cards (to be kept on a ring) for easy reference. Simply open in “Preview” and click on “Copies per page”.
I have included two styles, portrait and landscape, as well as colored and “ink friendly” black & white, which can be printed on colored paper.
Thank you for previewing this product! I appreciate your feedback and support.
