I've had several requests about add-ons for the Monster Key Concepts Poster, so I packaged the components of my bulletin board set together. This will help you set up a board that can be adapted to the concept your class is exploring. It looks really cute
if you glue big googly eyes on the rainbow headers and make some 3D colored doors similar to the poster to give the board depth.
Note: This set does not include the poster, which can be purchased separately.
A rainbow colored "Key Concepts" header
Rainbow colored headers for each of the eight key concepts
The individual monsters with separate speech bubbles containing their concept title
Smaller individual headers for the question, definition and related concepts of each key concept.
The wording for the smaller headers are:
What is it like?
Everything has a form with features you can recognize & can be:
How does it work?
Everything has a purpose, a role, or a way of behaving that we can investigate.
Why is it like it is?
Why did it happen?
Things don't just happen...there are relationships at work.
Actions have consequences.
How is it changing?
Change is the process of moving from one state to another.
It is universal & inevitable.
How is it connected to other things?
In our world there are interacting systems where the actions of one part affect others.
What are the points of view?
Knowledge is moderated by perspectives. Different perspectives lead to different interpretations,
understandings & findings.
Perspectives may be individual, group, cultural or disciplinary.
What is our responsibility?
We make choices based on what we understand.
Our actions do make a difference.
How do we know?
There are different ways of knowing, so it is important to reflect on our conclusions & to think about
our methods of reasoning. We must think about the quality & reliability of the evidence we have
I hope this is helpful in your classroom!
