Here are some posters to help your students remember the phases of a fictional and non fictional story as they read it. It’s a good way to practice the different genres and learn how to recognize by identifying the elements of those texts.
These posters can be enlarged and displayed in your Literacy Centers or any other area of your classroom. You can also make copies for your students and parents, and send it home with a quick explanation so that the parents can help them in recognizing the elements of a narrative and expository text elements.
I have also included two graphs for your students to use while they are reading either one of these genres: Fiction or Non-Fiction. I know it will help them recall the differences between the two texts when reading or writing.
