I created this checklist to help me keep track of the constant stream of initial, annual, and triennial assessments. I tend to either have a long “to-do” list which I am constantly crossing-out and adding to, or post-its lining the top of my computer. After many years in special education, I believe this checklist will be much more efficient!
I have made it editable (Email me for a copy of the editable checklist: LKirschn@gmail.com), so that you may change it up, and add items that work for you. Just like our students, this checklist is a work in progress, so I welcome input for improving it.
Our job as special educators is so paperwork-heavy, and we have so much on our plate, I hope this checklist will make your job a tiny bit simpler, and a bit more organized!
Here's my special education manual with lots more forms and tips on navigating the special education system and being the best special ed teacher you can be!
