After years of tracking student IEP goals/objectives and keeping them "secret," I have realized that the students I have on an IEP need to know their goals/objectives in order to improve and master their goals as quickly as possible. In their daily lessons, students see I can statements and learning targets for the standards that are being taught, so I decided to create "I can" statements based on the goals/objectives of each of my students. Each student gets a binder with all of their goals and they can easily see if they are meeting their goals, when they have met their goals, and what they need to improve upon in order to meet their goals. My students now strive to meet their goals, ask what their goals are, and are excited to work on their weekly/monthly/quarterly assessments. You can tweak this document based on your student's math problem solving IEP goals/objectives.
