Product Description

This download contains 12 different assessments of 10 words each. Each list contains 10 CVC words that can be used for phoneme segmentation or phoneme blending. To use this assessment for sound segmenting, the teacher orally provides the whole word for student and the student provides each sound in the word. For sound blending, the teacher orally provides each sound in the word and the student provides whole word. There are two assessments per page in order to conserve paper.

When using this with my students, I will administer the first assessment in order to get baseline data for an IEP goal.  I then administer one of the assessments each month in order to track student progress and monitor growth over the course of the IEP year. These assessments are effective evidence to present for progress reports and annual reviews. They could also be used for other intervention groups and services outside of special education.
