The IEP Parent Package is a short package that can be sent home with parents prior to the IEP meeting for their child. It gives brief information about Individual Education Plans in easy to understand language. The IEP process can be a little overwhelming, especially if its a parent's first time going through it. This handout package will answer a few questions they may have, provide a sample of what an IEP looks like, and includes the very important and useful "Parent Input Form." Parents can fill out the form and bring it to the IEP meeting with them, helping to provide guidance at the meeting, as well as providing written information for the school's resource teacher to incorporate into the IEP.
