I'M BORED! : Daydreams and Mysteries

Projects ~ big and/or little~ are great ways for beating the boredom blues. They give you a sense of accomplishment and, may, lead to other productive activities. Construct the I’m NOT Bored Activity Card Ideas ringed collection with its 8 categories & over 80 ideas.

There are days, of course , when DOING something is unappealing. It’s time, then, to daydream. You can choose a Daydream from the Daydreams images, write about some of your daydreams in the Fill-In Sheet and/or draw one or several of them in the Cloud Template for a Daydreams Poster.

If your mind wanders into a “mystery” dilemma, ponder, create and/or solve some with your own Mystery Messages.

Included in this August’s CLAMDiggers Unit are:

• front & back covers for booklet use
• a thematic literature list of trade books
• a general lesson plan for reading comprehension of the reads
• lots of hands-on interactive activities with instructions written on an independent upper elementary level

You can utilize this unit as:

• whole group instruction

• partner sharing
• independent study
