Engage your students with an interactive, informational unit of activities on INSECTS. This is both a language arts and science resource.
Your kids will create their OWN resource with an envelope book of facts, including nonfiction text features such as diagrams, side bars, content vocabulary, and captioned photo cards.
After assembling their resource (which can be done over 1-2 lesson periods), they will be able to write a short informational report, and also evaluate their learning at the end of this study. Your group size will determine how much time you may need to assemble their envelope book. To be most practical, you may want to do a couple pages at a time per language arts or science period.
