As a CTE teacher, perhaps you have given serious thought to integrating what you teach in your content area with that of another academic discipline; however, you’re not sure how or where to begin. Perhaps you have spoken with another teacher and have found that you share a common interest in interdisciplinary instruction. By using the 2013 CTE Works! National Survey of students and educators as a basis for further discussion, now may be the time to share your ideas/thoughts/intentions with your administrators, counselors, and other staff members. The facts stated in this survey indicates that students appreciate the value that CTE offers them now and in preparation for their future careers. Learning and understanding the interdisciplinary connections between the disciplines TODAY prepares students for the workplace and success on the job TOMORROW!

This PowerPoint is offered to you FREE for the purpose of summarizing the statistical results of the ACTE research 2013 CTE Works! National Survey. Education Get Real (EGR) is sharing this ACTE data with other CTE educators -- we did not write it. EGR has created this PowerPoint for you to use as an informational tool when soliciting administrative and staff support/approval for integrating your CTE program with another academic discipline in your school.
