This bundle contains the following:
-- 72 page Program with
- Concept Development pages
- Consolidation activities
- Fun stuff
- Worksheets (individual, group or whole class)
-- 72 page ANSWER BOOK
-- 11 Game Bundles (over 80 games - place value, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division skill building)
This is the bundle your school needs to target Grade 3 skills in PLACE VALUE, NUMBER, PATTERNS and ALGEBRA. I would use it in Years 4 and 5 or at the end of Grade 3 for consolidation.
--- Print the Workbook and the Answer book separately and bind. Photocopy pages as you need them for whole class skill building or print a workbook per student.
(2 pages reduced to one A4 page and printed back to back will make an 18 page book.)
--- Print, laminate and package the games.
--- Now, identify your intervention groups by skill deficits by using my Maths Intervention Screener (available free on TpT) and you are almost ready to go. Organise your timetable ... GO.
If you are a tutor or home schooler, print the games that target the skill deficits you have identified. The games are listed by skills in the answer section of the program.
The games packages include Bingo, Box of Bunnies, Bug Catcher, Donkey, Goldilocks Takes Away, Little Red Riding Hood adds up and takes away, Splat, The Grid Game, Superhero, War.
The Answer Book has all the answers in it, plus:
Concept Development ideas (when the student/s need more or when to skip)
Consolidation Ideas (games/activities that practise the skill)
Generalising ideas (transferring the skill)
Hand the Workbook and Answer Book to a Teaching Assistant, and your intervention program is operating. Monitor and adjust as necessary. (There are separate Intervention Books in my store to target specific skill deficits that need more time - Rounding, Hundreds, Thousands, etc).
Once your intervention group/s have learnt the games put them in a Maths Centre for everyone to play. Your intervention group can teach everyone else how to play and you are consolidating foundation maths skills for everyone.
This is the program I wished I had in my class of 26 students (Grade 1 to Grade 7) over 30 years ago. You do what you can at the time, but now I am semi-retired I have collected all the good ideas and strategies that have worked for me and my schools and included them here. I know how precious teaching time is, and I hope this program helps you to meet the needs of the students in your care.
