Students will use a cut/paste activity to discover the relationship between remote interior angles and an exterior angle. By cutting away the remote interior angles and pasting them onto the exterior angle, they will be able to recognize that the sum of the remote interior angles is equal to the measure of the exterior angle. They will summarize that relationship at the bottom of the page.
*NOTE - students must be provided with 3 different colored paper triangles to complete the 3 different examples. Seeing this with a variety of shapes and sizes will reinforce the concept.
On the second sheet, they will use their new found discoveries to practice the Triangle Exterior Angle Sum Theorem.
