Ir a Infinitive CLOZAE Activity for Spanish Class - "Voy a Viajar a..."

No Prep - just PRINT! This research/interpersonal activity aims to get our Spanish I and II level language students talking and communicating in the target language using the near future - Ir a Infinitive. It serves well as a culminating activity after practicing several applications of this structure. In the process, students gain many CULTURAL insights of not only their own country, but the countries of their classmates as well!

It is COMPLETELY EDITABLE so it may be tailored to fit the vocabulary and verb knowledge background of your students, i.e. including or omitting specific verbs or translations.

It includes:

  • Suggestions for classroom use
  • Clozure Trip Worksheets
  • Pages to record what each student learned about their classmates' trips (3 Columns or what he or she is going to do - Nombre / País / "Yo aprendí que...")
  • A printable list of the Spanish-speaking countries.

Students are randomly assigned a Spanish-speaking (and/or European) country and "pretend" to take a trip to that country in the near future! They begin with conducting some in-class computer research, filling in the "Cloze" items on their "trip" worksheets, and then sharing their "future trip plans" and their printed pictures with a group. They may earn further "Participation Puntos" by sharing something about their own trip or a classmate's trip.
