I made these TABS for my Interactive Student Notebooks (ISN) for finding graphic organizers with vocabulary. I used Post-it® Notes this size ( 1 ½ “ x 15/16”) in my teacher notebook last year and I found this very helpful and used them with my sheltered ESL students. I want to expand this to all my students this year.
Glue all TABS on the right side of the notebook (even if you glue in your graphic organizers on the left) and stagger them down the page so you can read them. These will be glued on the BACK of the page so when you open up to the tab you do not rip it off. I suggest cardstock for durability.
Change the font type and size to what you prefer and recopy for your needs.
I made 1 sheet with 36 tabs with the size I used last year and this also will cover the maximum amount of students for 1 class. I separated them in the template enough to trim in strips of 4 easily. I plan to hand these out in groups of 4. I don’t plan on worrying about cutting them out exactly, close is good enough!
