Step-by-step PowerPoint (also included in PDF format) included to project during activity. This interactive student notebook foldable includes the steps to solving equations: distribute, combine like terms, move variables to one side, move constants to the other side, and divide by coefficient or multiply by reciprocal.
I teach these lessons in the opposite order, from the end to the beginning, so it takes five lessons/days before the foldable is complete. This is why the PowerPoint goes in the reverse order.
On the first day, I teach dividing by the coefficient (or multiplying by the reciprocal). We complete only that part of the foldable on that day. On the second day, we move the constants and complete that page of the foldable. And so on.
However, you could also wait until you've done all of the lessons and do the entire foldable at once. Because the PowerPoint is included, you could rearrange the slides to match your order.
