This powerpoint game is perfect for a beginner Italian class. File contains eleven -IRE verbs in the infinitive form (both isco and non isco): preferire, aprire, coprire, dormire, offrire, partire, seguire, servire, soffrire, capire e finire.
Can be played two ways:
A) teacher calls out equivalent in English
B) teacher or student plays charades to act out the verb.
Two students are at the white board with their backs to the wall. They both have fly swatters.* Whoever swats the correct verb first earns a point for his or her team. I usually play boys vs. girls.
* You will need to purchase two soft plastic/rubber fly swatters from your local garden store to play this game in class.
