This spreadsheet is a great way to record the Grade Equivalency Scores, such as those taken from the ITBS, for you students and track their yearly progress. The spreadsheet has 6 pages and each page has been customized for a specific grade (K-5). All you have to do it enter your students' names and scores. The scores can be entered for the previous school year, the beginning of the year and the end of the year. The cells will color-code themselves. Red is for failing, #.6 or below. Blue is for low, #.7- #.8. Green is for passing, #.9 or higher. The scores entered in the previous year score and beginning of the year score columns will color-code for the previous grade level.
So for a first grade student who scored a K.5 at the end of their Kinder year, you would type in a 0.5. This would code red for failing. Then, if at the beginning of his 1st grade year he scored K.7, you would enter 0.7. This would code blue for low. If at the end of his 1st grade year he scored 1.2, that score would be entered and would code green for passing.
The students' yearly growth is calculated from the BOY and EOY scores. If your school only tests once a year you may enter the previous years scores into the Beginning of Year columns in order to get the calculated growth. An average of your class's scores will calculate at the bottom.
Currently each testing period has only for subject columns, Reading, Language, Math and Core Total. These labels can be changed to track any four subject areas. If you desire a template that will track more than four subject areas, contact me and I can create it.
