Icarus and Daedalus Lesson & Worksheet

This lesson is designed using the Kohlberg method. Students are challenged to look at the story and characters from multiple perspectives. In addition, students are encouraged to consider alternate choices that could have been made by the characters which would yield different consequences and conclusions.

My students greatly enjoyed thinking beyond just "the facts" of the story. Considering motives behind choices and actions, enabled us to have an enlightening discussion about the power of choice.
